The New CrimeSpree's Here! The New CrimesSpree's Here!

Guess what? The new CrimeSpree's here! Crimespree Magazine is out and about and extra cool this month. Why? Because it has a story by me? Nooo! That helps, but here's what I'm really looking forward to: John Rickards versus Mark Billingham . I hear from Rickards that the two men have hated each other for years and this interview will be the smackdown of the century. He guarantees this though the century is only a half decade old.*

Also, looking forward to the essay by Ayo Onatade, the one by Reed Farrel Coleman and one by Julia Spencer FLeming . And I also going to be looking up Sandra Ruttan's essay on her magazine. Good stuff all around.

I think I get a couple of contributor's copies. If so, I'll have a contest here. Really a good way to be introduced to an excellent publication.

* Okay, actually, John and I have never spoken of Mr. Billingham, and, in fact, we haven't said a word to each other face-to-face since the last Bouchercon.

Just got it myself. Looking forward to the read. It's looking a little swisher too, better layout, even better paper.

BTW, really enjoying Precinct Puerto Rico 1. You've sure got your chops down when it comes to action scenes. Very cool.

Hi all,
thanks much for the praise and the consideration.

Sandra, I did enjoy the story. Ah newlyweds... You guys are so cute. Wait till you've got fifteen years on the odometer like me and Damaris.

Jon,
It is a cooler looking product now, though I've never had a complaint personally. Mis-terious (the cartoon at the back) bothered me a little because I could never figure out what was going on.

Daniel,
If you like Book 1, wait till you get to the arc... Ken Bruen liked it so I've been riding high for a long while now.

It was indeed a clash of titans. A duel between an ugly, shambling Goliath and a hot, young, studly David from which I emerged bloodied, but victorious. I believe Mark has since retired to a cave in the Outer Hebrides where people throw him old fish once a week to stop him starving.

(Also, damn you Bloglines for eating another of my subscriptions and causing me to arrive at this a week late.)

John,
I did enjoy the interview. Well done. Good for you for being able to vanquish Billingham and making it seem like he was the star of the show anyway. Aren't you supposed to be on a plane to WisCahnsin? Get moving...It's later on your side of the pond thanit is here.
